Sandra Chavez, RDN
Meet Sandra- she has lived in the Bay Area since 2009, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs. She likes to cook vegetarian meals and travel with her family. Sandra became a dietitian in 2018 as a second career, because she realized how many people need help managing chronic disease. She believes food is healing and that good nutrition is essential to a happy life.
Sandra completed her dietetic internship through Morrison Healthcare, and received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics from San Francisco State University in 2017, when she started providing nutrition counseling. She first started with the San Francisco Nutrition Clinic as a volunteer during her undergraduate studies, and came back two years later to begin consulting with clients. She is a former Nutrition Care Manager for Morrison Living, and she has worked at Alta Bates Medical Center.
She is available for nutrition presentations/worksite wellness events, including in-person and virtual formats. Presentation topics available include: Cancer Treatment/Recovery Nutrition, Healthy Eating, The Mediterranean Diet, and others upon request.
